The founder of the Moscow chain of Ukrainian restaurants Korchma Taras Bulba, Yuri Beloivan, announced the threat of closing the enterprise.

According to him, law enforcement agencies received a message two years ago that the restaurant chain was “financing an illegal armed group.”
After this, an audit began, as a result of which the tax inspectorate accused the restaurant chain of non-payment of 1 billion rubles in taxes.
“For a restaurant in our price category, the amount is unaffordable... They didn’t come to fight us as taxpayers, the main thing was that we were conducting subversive activities... I am a citizen of the Russian Federation, we do not have any Ukrainian capital. This is all baseless. Moreover, from the point of view of some groups,” Beloivan said.
Lawyer Alexander Karabanov said that, in his opinion, a raider takeover of the business is taking place.
“We all lose in court. Petitions, for example, to call a witness who appears in the tax materials, are not accepted,” Beloivan complained.
