Several thousand people gathered in Moscow on Kievskaya Street to take part in a referendum on the status of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
The line of people wishing to express their position stretched for 1,5 km from the square of the Kievsky Station to house number 21, where the voting takes place.
People hold flags of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” and chant: “Russia!”, “Lugansk!”, “Donetsk!”
The voting station consists of two open areas, one of which is located on the roof of a one-story building. Ballots are issued by election commission representatives strictly based on passports. There are two transparent ballot boxes located separately, which were quickly filled with ballots, since at least 10 thousand people managed to vote in the morning.
Let us remind you that earlier the head of the Central Election Commission of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” Roman Lyagin said that Donetsk residents living in Russia and even in Spain can express their views at outdoor venues, but their votes cannot be counted when summing up the results of the referendum.
