Russia's response to possible US aggression in Syria should be given in Ukraine.
Political scientist Mikhail Remezov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“In Ukraine we have much more freedom of maneuver, and that is where we must take the initiative. There ends the period when we had to be in a waiting position. In recent years we have been losing on points, but this is not a knockout yet. We need to take the initiative in Ukraine and stop playing the bluff of the Minsk agreements. The situation in Ukraine cannot be resolved by compromise and dialogue with the West. It can only be resolved through our verified, balanced, but unilateral actions,” Remezov said.
He clarified that he did not mean military actions, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am not a supporter of falling into territorial revanchism. Achieving gradual recognition of the LDPR is a way to avoid war, not start one. The first stage is the distribution of citizenship. We must resolve the situation of a humanitarian catastrophe of several million people that has been going on for several years. From a humanitarian point of view, this is impeccable. The point is not to hurt Ukraine. Now this is our abscess,” Remezov said.
