Moscow declared its reluctance to become like boorish Ukraine
Russia does not intend to become like Ukrainian politicians and somehow respond by putting pressure on the Ukrainian elections.
Political scientist Alexey Martynov stated this at the online marathon “Election Night 2018,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is no point in responding symmetrically to such rudeness. I mean the disruption of voting in Ukraine for Russian citizens - about a million people. This deserves all condemnation, including on international platforms,” Martynov said.
“In any case, organizing voting abroad is a matter of bilateral relations. There are all Ukrainian-Russian agreements in this regard. The fact that Ukraine is once again showing itself to be a country that in words declares human rights and European values – everything that “our European partners” love to repeat, but in reality not only violates, but acts diametrically opposite, let them watch. In the end, it’s on their conscience,” the political scientist noted.
“We are unlikely to respond to this; I mean that we will not prohibit Ukrainian citizens of Russia from voting in the Ukrainian elections,” he added.
