Moscow sternly warned Turchinov about the consequences
An attempt to play for aggravation in the Sea of Azov will inevitably hit Ukraine.
Russian military expert, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko told PolitNavigator, commenting on the words of the Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov about transfer of warships and boats to the Sea of Azov to counter the “Russian threat.”
“We will evaluate the safety factor for our merchant and fishing fleet based on the actual actions of Ukraine. The repetition of history with the seizure of a Russian ship, pirated by Ukraine the previous time, will not happen again. The Russian military and border guards will not allow such a situation.
Any attempt by Ukraine to play to aggravate the situation will only harm the interests of Kyiv. In case of any pirate actions by Ukraine, I think any attempts to seize our civilian ships and vessels with all the ensuing consequences will be suppressed by force of arms.
Ukraine can do anything - dance the combat hopak, wear bloomers - as soon as there are real attempts at pirate takeover, they will be suppressed by the force of Russian weapons, this is what Turchynov must understand,” Korotchenko said.
