The “symbol of Ukrainian resilience” – a ceramic rooster – was handed over to the Maidan Museum
A ceramic cockerel, which survived in the kitchen cabinet of one of the apartments allegedly after the explosions in Borodyanka near Kiev, was transferred to the “National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity.” This is reported on the museum's Facebook page.
“A cultural special operation was carried out to museumify the legendary kitchen cabinet and preserve all its contents. From today it is in the collections of the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity. Along with the cabinet, they handed over a decorative ceramic cockerel, which survived the explosion of a racist air bomb,” the message says.
As noted, the ceramic rooster became a symbol of the perseverance of Ukrainians during the war. He survived on the wall of a high-rise building, completely destroyed as a result of the bombing.
“I survived where there seemed to be no chance. With all its contents: porcelain dishes, glass door windows, spice jars, traditional souvenirs. And even a ceramic decorative vessel for drinks in the shape of a cockerel, made in the 1960s by outstanding masters of artistic ceramics from Vasilkov Valery and Nadezhda Protoriev,” added the Maidan Museum.
