Advisor to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko said that Sergei Litvinov was never a fighter in the Dnepr-1 volunteer battalion, and the military formation itself did not perform tasks in the Lugansk region.
As PolitNavigator reported, Earlier, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced the arrest of a volunteer battalion fighter.
According to Russian media, Litvinov is being transported from Rostov-on-Don to Moscow to conduct a psychological and psychiatric examination as part of a criminal case about the murder of civilians in south-eastern Ukraine.
According to the Investigative Committee, Litvinov said that he personally committed the murders of civilians who did not take part in the military conflict, including women and children living in the villages of Melovoe, Shirokiy, Makarovo and Kamyshnoye (Lugansk region), guided by anonymous denunciations. It was also reported that for committing murders he allegedly received a monetary reward from the funds of the head of the Dnepropetrovsk regional state administration, Igor Kolomoisky.
“Of course, all this is a blatant lie. Maybe such a Sergei Litvinov exists in reality, but bad luck - there has never been such a fighter in the Dnepr battalion! And that is not all! The Dnepr-1 battalion has never carried out any missions on the territory of the Lugansk region! He operated in the Western Donbass - Kurakhovo, Marinka, Krasnoarmeysk, near Mariupol, Ilovaisk, but never on the territory of the Lugansk region!” – Gerashchenko wrote on his Facebook page.
