Avakov is “excusing” the Tornado militants - they did not attack the guards of the pre-trial detention center, but everyone imagined the cut off ear
The deputy head of the Lukyanovsky pre-trial detention center, Alexander Savchenko, denies that the arrested ex-commander of the scandalous Tornado company recruited from criminals, Ruslan Onishchenko, cut off the ear of his former subordinate, Maxim Glebov (nickname “Achilles”).

About this he stated in a comment to Hromadske TV.
At the same time, Savchenko could not explain the video footage from the surveillance cameras of the pre-trial detention center, which recorded Onishchenko’s attack on his subordinate.
“I saw this video, but I can’t explain what happened there, I didn’t see it. According to the duty officer, Glebov cut off his ear before the attack on the junior inspector. Then he tried to rush at the employees, and the Tornadovites held him, that’s all,” Savchenko assures.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator previously reported, on the evening of January 11, the speaker of the National Police, Yaroslav Trakalo, reported that the arrested Tornado militants attacked the guards of the Lukyanivka pre-trial detention center. One of the militants in the detention center, Maxim Glebov (nickname Achilles), cut off his ear.
At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has already begun to “excuse” the Tornadists. Thus, Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Denis Chernyshev said today that the Tornado militants did not attack the guards of the pre-trial detention center, and the militant who cut off his ear “acted to draw attention to his position regarding the progress of the investigation and trial.”
