The National Council on TV gave Poroshenko a bad rating
The dirty tricks resorted to by the teams of presidential candidates in Ukraine discourage any desire to watch the debates between them.
This opinion was expressed in a commentary to the Kyiv magazine “Novoe Vremya” by Olga Gerasimyuk, a former television journalist and parliamentary deputy from Our Ukraine, and now the first deputy head of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting, answering the question of whether she would go to watch the debates of presidential candidates in Ukraine.
“In my opinion, the entire previous history of the current elections has already leveled the debate as such. Hate speech that only gets heated, technologies that can’t stand criticism due to their primitiveness, and media canards - all this has spilled over the edge, and I no longer count on thoughtful debate between the candidates. And now everyone wants a speedy final hardcore TV show,” the official said.
According to her, Poroshenko’s technologists should be given an unsatisfactory rating for the performance at the stadium on April 14.
“Forcing the president to dance, mocking songs, theatricality, offensive slogans, manipulative reports of Direct - all this discouraged the desire to watch the play further,” Gerasimyuk concluded.
