Naftogaz denied media reports that the head of the company, Andrei Kobolev, was involved in an accident while driving a Mercedes in the center of Kyiv and fled the scene.

Naftogaz confirmed that one of the company’s drivers was involved in an accident.
“Today at 10:10 am one of our drivers unsuccessfully tried to turn and hit a VW at the intersection of Pushkinskaya and Khmelnitsky,” the message says.
At the same time, it is alleged that Kobolev was not in the car.
“This is indeed one of our cars, but Kobolev does not drive this car. The head of Naftogaz was not in the car (neither at the wheel nor in the cabin). At that time, he was at a meeting in the presence of many witnesses, including foreigners,” the company emphasized.
