NATO is not even considering returning Crimea to Ukraine
It is possible to achieve the return of Crimea from Russia only through military force, but NATO will never enter into open confrontation with a nuclear power.
Ukrainian diplomat Vladimir Khandogiy stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The topic of Crimea stands apart. Still, despite the wide geography of NATO’s intervention in certain regions of the world, I think it is unlikely that NATO will be able to intervene in the situation in Crimea from the point of view of returning this illegally annexed territory.
First of all, there is a line of conflict with the Russian Federation. The Russian Federation is a nuclear power.
And today, the conversation about the return of Crimea can only be presented as a confrontation, because the Russian Federation has already repeatedly declared that the issue of Crimea is not the subject of any political negotiations at all.
Only confrontation is the way that could be used. But we understand that this path will never be used. No one will want to enter into such a confrontation with Russia,” Khandogiy summed up sadly.
