Former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen stated this in an interview with the German newspaper Die Welt. сообщает "Independent newspaper".
“If Russia wanted it, Russian troops could occupy Ukraine in a matter of days,” Rasmussen said.
According to him, the increased power of the Ukrainian army in recent years would not have helped Ukraine contain the Russian army.
The former NATO Secretary General also noted that the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance are ready for an attack by the Russian army, but consider a diplomatic solution to conflicts more reasonable.
