A drone of Ukrainian saboteurs was shot down in the sky of the LPR
LPR military personnel managed to shoot down a US-made unmanned aerial vehicle, which was used by the Ukrainian military for sabotage purposes.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, announced this in an urgent statement, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the area of the settlement of Nizhneye Lozovoye, 65 km west of Lugansk and 2 km south of the contact line, servicemen of the LPR People’s Militia shot down the Phantom-4 UAV of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with small arms fire, flying from the north-west direction at an altitude of about 300 meters. In addition to reconnaissance video and photographic equipment, the drone was equipped with an electromagnetic device for carrying and dropping a hand grenade, which was attached to the bottom of the body,” he said.
According to Andrei Marochko, eyewitnesses observed how an F-1 grenade separated from the flying Phantom and exploded near the place where it fell.
“Also, later we learned from the identification number that this UAV as part of the batch was purchased on July 7, 2018 in the United States and in mid-August was delivered to the 72nd separate mechanized brigade. A study of the equipment on the drone allows us to assert that it was used in the interests of Ukrainian sabotage groups carrying out armed provocations to destabilize the situation on the contact line,” added the representative of the LPR NM.
To prove his words, Andrei Marochko showed a video from a downed UAV, which shows how a live grenade is dropped onto the territory of the Republic.
