According to the NikVesti publication, more than 500 citizens gathered at the traditional site of the Nikolaev Maidan - at the intersection of Admiralskaya and Sovetskaya streets.
Traditionally, patriotic music was played before the start of the event. The screen showed pictures from a year ago and photographs of subsequent events.
Participants of the action brought flags of Ukraine, flags of the Popular Front, and the All-Union Union Svoboda. There were no flags of the “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” visible.
During his speech, Nikolaev governor Vadim Merikov said that the revolution was not over, since the inhabitants of Ukraine did not become more protected, and the standard of living did not improve. He emphasized that “the war in the East is inspired by fugitive President Viktor Yanukovych and his entourage.” As eyewitnesses note, his deputies and people’s deputies came along with the governor.
As PolitNavigator reported, in Kherson, state employees were taken to a meeting “voluntarily-compulsorily”.
