Relatives of fighters of the 19th Territorial Defense Battalion, which is based in Nikolaev on the territory of military unit A-3163 near the Varvarovsky Bridge, decided to prevent the unit’s personnel and military equipment from leaving for the anti-terrorist operation zone.
They explained their actions by the fact that the military allegedly did not have personal protective equipment, and also that they were given a promise not to send them to the ATO zone. The leadership of the military unit assured close military personnel that there was enough body armor for everyone.
After negotiations and discussions, the police, together with members of the “Griffin” unit, pushed the relatives away.
As PolitNavigator reported, today the mothers of captured soldiers of the Vladimir-Volyn 51st Brigade came to the Verkhovna Rada, accusing the authorities of unwillingness to facilitate the release of their children.
