“The entrance door to the bank was completely destroyed, windows were broken, internal structural elements were damaged. According to preliminary data, a shellless explosive device with a power of 200-250 g was detonated. in TNT equivalent. The explosion in neighboring houses shattered glass in many apartments,” the report says.
The largest shareholders of Pivdenny Bank are oligarchs Yuri Rodin (indirectly owns 38,2%) and Mark Becker (indirectly owns 23,6%).
In the spring of 2017, Ukrainian media reported that after the nationalization of Privatbank, oligarch Igor Kolomoisky transferred the salary accounts of employees of his enterprises to Pivdenny.
The explosion of the Pivdenny branch in Nikolaev is not the first such emergency around this bank. In September 2016, an explosive device went off near the Pivdenny branch in Kherson. In April 2016, the main office of a bank in Odessa was shot with an RPG.
