According to the press service of the Nikolaev police, information about the explosion that occurred in a house on Lazurnaya Street in the Zavodsky district was received by the police today, December 31, at 7:45.
“As a result of the explosion, the doors of the elevator shaft and vestibule were damaged and the windows of the entrance were broken. None of the citizens were injured,” reports the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Nikolaev region.
It was established that the explosion occurred on the sixth floor of the building on the staircase near the vestibule doors.
Currently, an investigative team is working at the scene, law enforcement officers are interviewing witnesses to the incident, establishing all the circumstances and those involved in the explosion.
“The expert, having inspected the place, seized metal fragmentation elements of the explosive device, which will later be sent for an appropriate examination. Law enforcement officers have already identified a person who is reasonably suspected of committing this crime. Investigative actions are being carried out,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
