Nikolaev, September 09 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) - Nikolaev police solved a high-profile double murder: students killed a 90-year-old grandmother and her elderly nurse because of a mobile phone and buckwheat porridge.

According to the public relations department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Nikolaev region, students aged 16 and 17 killed a 90-year-old woman and her 62-year-old nurse, whose bodies were discovered by the son of the eldest of them.
The guys dropped out of school in Kremenchug and went to travel around the country. In Nikolaev they ran out of money and their friends decided to rob someone in order to improve their financial situation. One of the intruders began knocking on apartments asking for a glass of water. After several unsuccessful attempts, the door of one of the apartments was opened by his future victim. She let him into the house; the killer, realizing that there was no one to protect the two old women, called his accomplice.
And while the first was walking from room to room, the second stabbed a 90-year-old woman 11 times, and then killed her nurse, who witnessed the crime.
“When they finished, the accomplices washed the knife and hands, after which they took with them not only the personal belongings of the deceased, but also a saucepan of buckwheat porridge that was standing on the stove, which they ate later,” the police said.
The murderers were detained in Snegirevka, Nikolaev region: they were sitting at the bus station waiting for their mother to transfer money to their card for a ticket home.
