In the Nikolaev region, a Syrian citizen will be tried for the murder of his wife, a citizen of Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Nikolaev region.
“On July 28, in the direction of the village of Shcherbanovskoye, Voznesensk district, the burnt body of a 30-year-old resident of Voznesensk was found on the side of the road. Law enforcement officers detained her husband on suspicion of murdering a woman. It was established that on the night of July 27-28, 2016, a 49-year-old man killed his wife, whom he had been married to since 2012, out of jealousy. Later, in order to hide traces of the crime, he partially burned her body. During the consideration of criminal proceedings, by a court decision, the man’s preventive measure in the form of detention was extended,” the statement says.
With the sanction of the article, he faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to fifteen years.
