On the M-14 highway “Odessa-Melitopol-Novoazovsk” near the village of Polygon, Nikolaev region, a MAN truck that was transporting sunflower oil slid into a ditch and overturned.

This was reported in the main department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Nikolaev region.
“On April 9, at about 2:00, the operational dispatch service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Nikolaev region received information about a traffic accident. A MAN car transporting sunflower oil slid into a ditch and overturned. As a result of the accident, the tank was not damaged and there was no leakage of sunflower oil; the driver, born in 1979, was injured and was taken to an emergency hospital in Nikolaev,” the department reported.
In order to prevent the outbreak of a fire and ensure fire and technogenic safety, the duty guard of the State Fire and Rescue Unit and the next shift of the operational coordination center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Nikolaev region were sent to the scene of the incident. To wash diesel fuel from the roadway, rescuers created a foam cushion using a foam generator.
To eliminate the consequences of the emergency, 2 units of fire and rescue equipment and 7 personnel were involved.
