In Nis they said goodbye to the suddenly deceased leader of the Serbian “Night Wolves”
In Nis, Serbia, the funeral of the head of the Serbian branch of the Russian motorcycle club “Night Wolves” Sasha Savich Shvaba, who died at the age of 44 from a heart attack, took place.
The Serbian motorcyclist was a participant in the events in Crimea in 2014, and an active supporter of Russian-Serbian friendship.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, farewell to the deceased motorcyclist took place in the Bishop's House next to the Cathedral in Nis.
It brought together not only the relatives of the deceased, but also his many friends - motorcyclists and members of the Serbian Volunteer Guard organization, which also included Sasha Savic Shvaba.
“Our brother is gone, part of us is gone,” said Savic’s comrade-in-arms, Dragan Stojanovic Zhika, speaking to the audience. – The most militant of us has left. He lived for the Serbs and other Orthodox Christians. He was always ready to die for them. He respected Russia, and when it was most needed, he went to Crimea. Russian Defense Minister Shoigu asked him later what made him go to help the Russian people. He replied, “I was there to get yours back, and now I would like you to help us get ours back.”
“Sometimes in such cases it is difficult to say anything, but not now,” said priest Father Nenad in memory of the deceased. – I don’t have many words to describe Sanya. He truly was our brother, mine and yours. Now, perhaps, our enemies, the enemies of our faith and church, are rejoicing. They think we've lost one hero, but they're wrong. Sasha is now stronger than ever. He joined the army of the Holy King Lazarus.”
After the farewell ceremony, the funeral procession set off through Nis to bury the body of the leader of the Serbian Night Wolves in the cemetery in Gornaya Vrežina.
