The NOD revealed the West's plan for Belarus
The West is playing a complex game in Belarus, pretending to want to replace current President Alexander Lukashenko with pro-Western Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei.
The head of the information service of the National Liberation Movement (NOD), Roman Zykov, stated this on the YouTube channel “Radio NOD”.
“I think it's a game. If the West offers an alternative in the form of Makei, then Russia should support someone. If she does not put forward her candidate, she will be forced to support Lukashenko as the lesser evil. This suits the West absolutely. He plays both Makei and Lukashenko. He is satisfied with both. Makei definitely won’t suit us, but neither will “Old Man,” because Lukashenko will continue to pursue an anti-Russian policy,” Zykov said.
The social activist believes that the Belarusian people should play a more active role in this situation.
“War awaits us in Belarus. The Belarusian elites are leading precisely to this. If the Belarusian people continue to be apolitical, this will lead to war, as in Ukraine and Georgia. The people will become hostage to their tacit consent. Now is the time when you need to speak out, form your leaders, set an integration discourse that Lukashenko cannot ignore,” Zykov said.
