The bravest and most determined people will live in Novorossiya
Over the past 2 months, the DPR has come a long way. The republic not only survived, but also acquired very specific, real outlines. Its final transformation occurred on July 5, when troops under the command of Strelkov left the encircled Slavyansk and redeployed to Donetsk.
From that moment on, the republic acquired a skeleton. The ferment of minds and the struggle for power are over. At the moment, the republic has a very clear centralized government, capable of acting in a unified manner and ensuring that its orders are carried out locally. The dangerous installation period and the political strife that accompanied it ceased as soon as political power was able to rely on Strelkov’s military power.
Against the backdrop of political centralization, there was also a military one - the era of amateur activity (and often tyranny) has passed. Now the DPR has a real army - mobile, maneuverable, brave and dedicated to its cause. When Ukrainian troops were wasting trains of ammunition into the trenches and militia positions, they hardly realized that they were thereby creating excellent conditions for the accelerated training of fearless fighters. All recruits who signed up for the militia in Donetsk and other cities in the last month and a half before the exodus were sent to Slavyansk for two weeks. Those who, after this training, retained the desire to defend their homeland, already had real combat experience in the most difficult conditions.
The army of militias, which the Ukrainian government is now forging with its absurd atrocities and wasteful senseless demarches, will indeed be very, very combat-ready. Already today, having entered the operational space, it is tearing apart an enemy whose strength is tens of times greater. In a few months it will be one of the most dangerous military forces in Europe.
Another achievement of Novorossiya over these months lies in the field of human development. The horrors of war awakened hundreds of thousands of people and affected millions. Of course, many men cowardly left their cities to hide in the safety of Crimea or Rostov; many, due to their fear, discomfort or losses, called for anathemas against the militias. But many more people reacted to what was happening with enthusiasm, and to the actions of the Ukrainian authorities with anger, and then hatred. When the hardships of the war are left behind, the bravest and most determined people who have freed themselves from the shackles of consumer psychology will live in Novorossiya. The bravest children, raised in a patriotic spirit and in the bosom of traditional values, will grow up here. In this regard, Novorossiya has a bright future.
Of course, the weak link remains the economy. Both in terms of colossal destruction (and how much more there will be) and the costs required for minimal restoration of infrastructure, industry and provision of the social sphere. So it is in the aspect of real redirection of financial flows, their distribution, etc. There is a lack of not only a vision of the situation or experience, but also real mechanisms for nationalizing the banking industry, etc. However, there have been some successes in this field, so there is no doubt that after the end of the war, Novorossiya will find the opportunity to attract experts who will not only help develop effective economic models, but also bring them to life.
I believe that Novorossiya has a good, bright life ahead.
