Law on the possibility of blocking websites without a court decision, it jeopardizes the free access of Ukrainian citizens to information on the Internet.
This was stated by the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Harlem Desir, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I urge legislators to seriously reconsider the text of the bill and balance security concerns with citizens' rights to free expression and a free media,” he said.
According to Désir, the bill lacks provisions to ensure judicial control and a proper decision-making process to block access to Internet information resources.
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that Ukrainian official snitched on a Russian woman, working at Facebook.
