The Lviv group “Rating” conducted a sociological study in Odessa. In a city where militants are killing dissidents, there were citizens who openly declared support for the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation and the entry of Russian troops into Ukraine.

Thus, 13% of Russian-speaking Odessa residents openly expressed support for the entry of Russian troops into Ukraine to protect the Russian-speaking population.

Also, 20% of respondents believe that the deployment of Russian troops to protect Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine is a legitimate step.

In addition, 31% of respondents who identified themselves as Russian by nationality have a positive assessment of Russia's actions in Crimea. 28% of respondents spoke negatively on this issue.

The survey was conducted from July 16 to July 30, 2015.
