In Odessa, voters are given ballots only for mayoral elections: “carousels” are possible
Odessa, May 25 (Navigator, Svetlana Filippova) – The majority of Odessa residents take part in voting for the mayor of the city, but do not participate in voting for the President of Ukraine.

The relevant information was disseminated by the press service of the Odessa regional organization “Committee of Voters of Ukraine”.
According to the KIU, voters who came to polling stations in Odessa received ballots to vote for the mayor, but they were denied ballots to vote for the President of Ukraine. In particular, similar incidents were recorded at the polling station located on Bolgarskaya Street, 31.
As KIU lawyer Igor Brinosh commented on this situation, a situation where a voter participates in the mayoral election process, but cannot vote for the President of Ukraine, may indicate illegal voting, since there cannot be fewer people electing the president than those electing the mayor.
In turn, as Verkhovna Rada deputy from “Batkivshchyna” Alexander Briginets wrote on the social network Facebook, such facts indicate fraud and “carousels” in the elections in Odessa.
“Those who change their voting location receive only one ballot – the presidential one. Therefore, it seems that in reality Odessa is rigging the elections for the mayor of Odessa, since it is impossible to imagine a voter who has the right to vote for the mayor, but does not have the right to vote for the president,” he noted.
At the same time, as reported by the regional headquarters of Petro Poroshenko, as of 15.00 in the Odessa region, 30,5% of voters had already voted.
It is noted that the highest voter turnout - 36% - was recorded in the 141st district with the center in Ivanovka, which includes the city of Yuzhny, Berezovsky, Ivanovsky, Kominternovsky and Razdelnyansky districts.
And the smallest number of voters - 25% - is observed in the 145th district with the center in Izmail, which includes the Izmail and Kiliya districts.
