About it reported the press service of the SBU, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Law enforcement officers established that the organizer of the group, who is wanted, came to a businessman from one of the countries of South Asia, allegedly to conduct a search of the SBU and took possession of his car. Security service officers documented three cases of criminals “squeezing” property and money from foreigners,” the report says.
Operatives of the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the police, detained the organizer and two accomplices in Odessa and found a stolen car in their possession.
During a search at the attacker’s place of residence, law enforcement officers seized a fake court ruling, which the group members “demonstrated” during robberies, damaging the image of the SBU.
The detainees were declared suspected of committing crimes under Art. 187 and part 3 of Art. 289 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The organizer was given a preventive measure in the form of detention. Urgent investigative and operational actions are ongoing.
