About it reported the local publication Odessa Life.
According to the publication, Odessa residents, supporters of the Soviet holiday, were going to lay flowers at the monument to the Unknown Sailor on the Walk of Glory. However, the police did not allow them to do this under the pretext of an anonymous call about the alleged “mining” of the Walk of Fame. The police surrounded the area and drove citizens out of there.
Another local publication, 048.ua, adds details directly about clashes between nationalists and supporters of the celebration of February 23. They began after a verbal skirmish between the two “camps”: the Nazis called supporters of February 23 “occupiers”, they called their opponents “fascists”.
“At the moment of this verbal confrontation, one of the Kulikovo Pole activists began to force her way towards the patriots through the police barrier. The police quickly detained the provocateur and took her to the police station. The confrontation continues,” says a statement from a publication sympathetic to the nationalists.
