This was reported by the Ukrainian publication Vesti.
According to the publication, Yurin was supposed to perform at one of the music festivals in Odessa, but they learned that he was carrying humanitarian aid from Joseph Kobzon to the Donbass.
As a result, the Russian singer abandoned his own performance, but went there to support his girlfriend, singer Natasha Stern. In his free time from performing, the musician and his friends decided to relax in one of the cafes in Odessa, where a fight broke out over Yurin’s connections with Kobzon and his visit to Donbass.
At some point, one of Valery Yurin’s new acquaintances could not restrain himself, took a vodka bottle and smashed it on the artist’s head, shouting “Beat the Muscovites.”
“Suddenly two guys appeared from somewhere. We took a bottle of vodka and sat down to our
about the war in Donbass. They started blaming us, the artists, for supporting “aggression against Ukraine. Kobzon especially suffered from them. What kind of nasty words they called him! I was indignant. My vision went dark. I started to get up to give him a ride. And then he received another blow to the head from him - this time with a huge ashtray. I started bleeding. Fortunately, I didn't lose consciousness. And I found the strength to move him back, so that he flew three meters away,” the singer said.
As a result, the singer was taken to the hospital with a head injury.
