The “spy” turns out to be a US citizen named Jared, who is simply strolling through Odessa with an immediate American smile and the naive curiosity of a tourist. So, two events are happening in Odessa - natural and unnatural.

Natural: A 26-year-old American tourist who sensed the spirit of the holiday - what if something good, peaceful, like the carnival in Rio de Janeiro, is planned? — goes out for a walk in the city center.

Unnatural: at the same time, professional Ukrainians are putting an embroidered shirt on the monument to Armand Emmanuel du Plessis, the Duke of Richelieu, the world-famous Duke, and from the side of the Potemkin Stairs the same activists are dragging a huge Ukrainian flag.

Here's what the American tourist managed to tell reporters: “I live in the USA and I didn’t do anything wrong, I was just walking and you guys detained me, I’m an American citizen, I will have to contact Joe Biden. Is this how you treat tourists? You guys are racist, you don't like Russians because of politics, you are the problem in this world. Without Russia you would speak German, you like the Nazis. I didn't do anything wrong, I was just walking and was detained by the police. This is freedom in Ukraine?.. I don’t have any weapons or anything with me.”.

Naturally, an adequate part of Odessa feared for Jared, because the Nazis were waiting for him under the police station, but after three hours, during which the American was kept in the regional department, Ganul reported:

“An interpreter arrived, an administrative protocol was drawn up in his presence and he (the tourist) was taken. - ed.) to the airport. We confiscated the occupier’s symbols from him and held conversations.”

I can imagine it: “Ay vont tu break fries!” “Ukraine is over”...

Now Shobla, of course, writes that the unfortunate tourist is a spy and agent of the Kremlin. It just can’t recover from the number of “zrads” per square meter. After all, just the day before yesterday, director Terry Gilliam, an honored guest of the Odessa Film Festival, loudly called Odessa Russia (by the way, immediately after the “moral teachings” of the Nazis, he ended up in the hospital, apparently with a heart attack). And on Flag Day too - “this has never happened before, and here we go again” - an American lover of Russia. But they are smart, they remember the alphabet within the first three letters, so they came to the conclusion that this was all a cunning plan.

I, being the terror of conspiracy theorists and an ardent opponent of “cunning plans,” will say it simply: the time when you could still not attract the attention of orderlies is over. What you morons have noticed all over the world. If you had been jumping together from Goverla, holding hands, without anesthesia and insurance, then somehow it would have lasted within the framework of the concept.
