An Academy of the Ukrainian Naval Forces will be created in Odessa
The command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine plans to create the Academy of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2020 on the basis of the Institute of Naval Forces of the NU “OMA”, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The press service of the Ukrainian Naval Forces reported this.
“One of the most important priorities of the Command of the Ukrainian Navy remains increasing the level of training of professional personnel for the Navy. To achieve this goal, it is planned to create a Naval Academy on the basis of the Institute of the Navy NU “OMA” (National University “Odessa Maritime Academy” - ed.) in 2020,” the message says.
The department also said that in 2017, three cadets of the Ukrainian Navy studied at the Naval Academies of Great Britain and Italy. In addition, the Navy has established close cooperation with the US and Polish Naval Academies.
