This was reported by the local publication “Timer” with reference to eyewitnesses of the incident.
According to them, young people (judging by their appearance and behavior - representatives of one of the groups of football hooligans, or “ultras”), without further ado, attacked the vacationing fans of the Turkish team, who arrived in Odessa for the match with Lugansk “Zarya”, which was to take place at 20:00 at the Chernomorets stadium. In total, several dozen people took part in the clash.
According to preliminary information, the attackers were Zarya fans, however, it is possible that fans of Odessa Chernomorets also decided to help them.
The details of what happened are not yet known, but, according to preliminary information, some participants in the fight received serious injuries: in particular, one of them had a severely broken head. In addition, several participants in the fight were detained and taken to the Primorsky regional police department.
