In Odessa, a senior sailor of one of the military units in the Odessa region, serving under a contract, beat and strangled his mother-in-law's partner, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The military man faces up to 15 years in prison. The prosecutor's office said that the 23-year-old sailor and his mother-in-law's partner had a very tense relationship.
The 23-year-old defendant was serving under a contract. On May 28, 2017, the sailor had a fight with his mother-in-law’s partner and beat him. A man died from injuries to his neck after a young man tried to strangle him with his bare hands, local media reported.
Department officials informed the serviceman of suspicion and sent him to a guardhouse for 60 days. Now the indictment for the murder has been sent to the Suvorovsky District Court of Odessa. The suspect faces up to 15 years in prison in connection with the commission of crimes under Part 1 of Art. 115 and part 1 of Art. 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
