Zhvanetsky's cat was stolen in Odessa
In Odessa, the famous sculpture “Morris the Cat” was stolen from the building of the World Club of Odessa residents on Marazlievskaya Street, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported on the Odessa region police page on Facebook.
“The Primorsky police department in Odessa received a report that unknown persons had stolen the “Morris the Cat” sculpture, which was installed on the windowsill of the house of the World Club of Odessa residents,” the police inform.
An investigative team is working at the scene of the incident to identify those involved in the abduction.
The issue of entering information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 1 of Art. 185 (theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The figure of the cat was placed on the briefcase of the famous satirist writer. The sculpture was created in the image of Mikhail Zhvanetsky’s pet. Her weight is 15 kilograms.
