Ukrainian flags were drowned in Odessa
Celebrations took place in Odessa on the occasion of the Day of the Ukrainian Navy, during which Kyiv “showed off” a crowd of NATO ships.
President Vladimir Zelensky came to Odessa to participate in the ceremonial events, speaking against the backdrop of moored NATO ships arriving for the Sea Breeze exercise.
“This week I was on an official visit to Canada, where we agreed to strengthen our defense cooperation. And I know that today the Minister of Defense, Mr. Poltorak, will substantively discuss the specific steps of this cooperation,” he said.
“Today the families of our captured sailors are present here. I bow to you for your courage and devotion. I won’t say much, believe me, we are working day and night to bring our sailors home. And personally, I am doing everything so that words about returning turn into tight hugs with your guys.
At the beginning of the week, we received bitter news from Donbass: two medical marines were killed as a result of shelling of an ambulance near the village of Vodyanoye,” the president added.
Note that the car mentioned by Vladimir Zelensky turned out to be not sanitary, but military.
Then the celebrations began, during which Ukrainian paratroopers, to the amusement of the residents of Odessa and the NATO ships that made up the bulk of the extras, drowned the flags of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Navy, tied them to their feet and jumped into the sea.
The press service of the Ministry of Defense clarified that the Naval Forces Recruitment Center was actively working at that time.
“The Recruitment Center of the Ukrainian Naval Forces is conducting active propaganda work among residents and guests of the city of Odessa, who also came to the sea station to congratulate the sailors on the holiday,” the message says.
