In Odessa, the Armed Forces of Ukraine threw a burnt “bone”
Well, young man, the first victory of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has already been achieved in my city! Moreover, without firing a single shot and, as they say, on foreign territory! Do you think they heroically repulsed the landing of the fierce mounted Buryat-Moksha scuba divers sent to capture Privoz and the famous Gambrinus beer hall, at the same time seizing Crimea at the tip of a bayonet? - No, everything is much more prosaic and banal. And, what is typical, as always - at the expense of Odessa residents.
This morning, at a meeting of the city executive committee, Deputy Mayor Andrei Kotlyar, who is responsible for relations with law enforcement agencies, proposed giving the army the notorious children's camp "Victoria" at Kovalevsky's Dacha. They say, since we are in martial law, let our dear defenders be in good health! Of course, for the duration of this emergency... And the decision was made unanimously.
Note that this is the same municipal holiday camp where three girls died due to a strange fire last September. Who was to blame for this tragedy - whether the city authorities failed to monitor the builders who built the cottages from wood not impregnated with fire-fighting mixtures, or a tragic accident - the court did not decide. And therefore, the director of the institution is still in jail. Someone has to be extreme! And the camp itself is still under judicial arrest.
But Mr. Kotlyar, known for his jingoistic beliefs and connections with radical activists, is convinced that the city will resolve this issue legally. Indeed, what kind of Ukrainian court would deny our somewhere invincible (but where?), and in some places, legendary army, a refuge not far from the sea! So as not to run far from the front if something happens! Moreover, the very name of the camp begs to be turned into a brave bivouac or a dashing Cossack kuren! After all, “Victoria” in Latin means “victory”, “peremoga” in the language of militant Ukrainians!
And the fact that everything there is saturated with the horror of the death of children - well, the heroes of the ATO are no strangers to this. In the Donbass they have seen (and done) much worse than this.
And everyone is happy - the city authorities - prudently threw a bone to the “new order” and the army, even if it was pretty burnt. Moreover, on her own initiative, without waiting for something much cooler to be taken away from her. And this is how the military won their first “victory.” It's only the beginning! After all, I am deeply not sure that the beginning series of voluntary-compulsory donations to the altar of the greedy and warlike Ukrainian fatherland will be limited to this dubious sacrifice. So, the claw got stuck - the whole bird was lost!
