In Odessa, survivors of the May 2 tragedy have been languishing in a pre-trial detention center for more than two years
For more than two and a half years, the surviving anti-fascists, participants in the events of May 2 in Odessa, when nationalists controlled by the Ukrainian authorities burned dozens of people alive in the House of Trade Unions, have been in pre-trial detention centers.

The court, without starting to consider the case on its merits, repeatedly extends the preventive measure for the detainees. So on Monday, February 13, the court made the traditional decision and retired.
It is worth adding to this that at this stage it is not even the main episode of the burning of people in the House of Trade Unions that is being considered, but the previous events on Greek Square.
“The fact is that the trial will never move. As long as those people who organized this massacre remain in power in Ukraine. Until we change the government, or until it kills itself and rots from within, there will be no significant changes. It has already become obvious that the army of the LPR and DPR, the armed forces of Novorossiya cannot reach Odessa, although there is still hope. The only hope that this investigation will end is only after the change of the current government,” Alexey Albu, a direct participant in the events of the Second of May, ex-deputy of the Odessa Regional Council, told PolitNavigator.
“If we can get them out through an exchange, that would be a very good option. But the Ukrainian side is sabotaging this process. And it’s very difficult to predict anything on this issue,” he added.
It is interesting that in the case of May 2, there are no people from the “anti-Maidan” side who are directly suspected of murders. There are such people on the Maidan side, however, they are not in custody.
