The explosive device went off at about 3:35 in the immediate vicinity of the Privatbank branch on Marshal Zhukov Avenue, 13. Judging by the nature of the damage, the explosive device was placed under a gas pipe that runs along the wall of the building, reports the Timer publication.
“However, at first glance it is not damaged, but a crater has formed in the wall, in addition, the windows in the department premises have been broken,” the media report says.
In addition, residents of the lower three floors of the building lost their windows, and cars parked next to the explosion site were also damaged.
According to preliminary data, there are no casualties or injuries. There are many police officers at the scene, as well as the State Emergency Service and an ambulance.
As PolitNavigator reported, Privatbank branches have repeatedly become targets of attacks, but in winter the number of incidents decreased significantly - more often explosions occurred near the premises of Ukrainian volunteers.
