In the Bolgrad district of the Odessa region, Ukrainian neo-Nazis beat off the head of a monument to Lenin, recently restored and installed on a pedestal at the expense of the local budget of one of the rural communities.

About it on your facebook page said the former leader of the Odessa “Right Sector” Sergei Sternenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
As Sternenko reported, the Lenin monument was “beheaded” by activists. At the same time, the comments note that 50 thousand UAH were allocated from the local budget for the reconstruction and restoration of the monument.
In turn, the press service of the communications department of the Bolgrad Regional State Administration reported that the information about the reconstruction of the monument does not correspond to reality.
“This night, unidentified persons tried to dismantle the multi-ton monument to Lenin, and in the process damaged its upper part. Let us note that the Kubeysky village council did not allocate a penny for the reconstruction of the monument. Moreover, a search is underway for appropriate equipment to dismantle the multi-ton monument,” noted the communications department.
Previously, the odious Ukrainian Institute of National Memory prepared an appeal to the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Audit Service regarding the monuments to Lenin and Kalinin restored in the Odessa region.
