In the Odessa region, a soldier of the Izmail border detachment froze to death at a post on the Kiliya-Shevchenkovo road section.

About it Pavel Boychenko, head of the Kilisky District Council, said on Facebook.
“A young man, a resident of Kiliya, an employee of the Izmail border detachment, born in 1995, died from hypothermia. Contact with him was lost on the 7th, when the man decided to walk from Kilia towards Shevchenko to his relatives,” he noted.
According to Boychenko, the body of a 21-year-old border guard was found in the area of a former brick factory 1,5 km from Shevchenko.
The circumstances of the tragedy are being established.
