On August 10, 2014, a citizen was informed by mobile phone of his mobilization into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The man was summoned on August 11, 2014 to the Rozdolny military commissariat. Thus, the head of the family was faced with the fact that, in less than a day, he needed to leave everything, including his family without a livelihood, and go to fight in the name of someone else’s ambitions.
At the appointed time, the convict, as a law-abiding citizen, appeared at the military registration and enlistment office. However, after staying there for some time, the man simply turned around and went home to his family - apparently, common sense prevailed.
Subsequently, in the prosecutor's office, he admitted his guilt and entered into an agreement with the investigative authorities, as a result of which the Razdolnensky District Court of the Odessa Region passed a verdict on December 24.12.2014, 336 under Art. 30 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, as evasion of conscription for mobilization, and imposed a penalty in the form of a fine in the amount of 510 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens. By the way, this is only XNUMX hryvnia.
Probably, if this situation is made public, there will be a huge number of people who want to “opt out” of the war for only 510 UAH. Yes, there is an unpleasant addendum in the form of a criminal record, but for many this fact will not be particularly depressing.
