Odessa, October 16 (PolitNavigator, Artemy Glazunov) – In the regional center of Kodyma, Odessa region, unknown persons poured waste motor oil on a monument to Lenin.

There are no witnesses to the incident. Representatives of law enforcement agencies assume that this is the work of hooligans.

Based on this fact, criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - “Hooliganism”, which provides for a fine in the amount of 500 to 1 thousand non-taxable minimum citizens or imprisonment for up to 5 years.

As PolitNavigator reported, this is not the first case of vandalism against Lenin monuments. In the Odessa region, since the end of August, unknown persons have been constantly either destroying monuments to the leader of the world proletariat or smearing him with paint or other means.
