The incident happened on the New Troyany-Chervonoarmeyskoye-Vasilevka-Kamenka highway.
“The structure has lost its load-bearing capacity, which makes it impossible for vehicles to move. The specified road is an exit to the international checkpoint with the Republic of Moldova,” the district administration reported.
It is worth noting that the bridge collapse occurred a week ago, but the incident became known only today.
The regional highway service assured that they are already developing a plan for the reconstruction of the bridge, calculating the estimated estimated cost of the work, and based on the calculations they will look for sources of financing.
