In the Odessa region, an ATO veteran was caught red-handed selling weapons
In the Odessa region, law enforcement officers exposed the sale of rifled firearms and ammunition from the boom zone in the Donbass, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported in the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to the intelligence service, a resident of the region, a former military man who served in the ATO area, illegally stored domestic and foreign-made small arms for sale in his own home. The attacker was looking for clients, in particular, among representatives of criminal circles in the Odessa region.
During a search in the attacker’s apartment, Mauser and Ekol pistols, almost half a thousand rounds of various calibers, and bladed weapons were confiscated.
According to the SBU, the seized ammunition was stolen from military units in the JFO area and transported by accomplices to Odessa for sale.
As part of the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 1 of Art. 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, priority investigative actions are ongoing to identify all persons involved in illegal business.
