About it reports the local publication “Dumskaya” with reference to a message from Lacaren himself on the social network.
The conflict almost escalated into a massacre. The vandalism has now stopped. Police are present at the scene.
As activist Andrei Grushetsky, who is also on the Lacarena farm, said, the case about the disputed lands is in court and it is illegal to take any actions in relation to them.
“People gave their lands to the collective farm a long time ago, which leased them to Lacaren. Now the locals have come to their senses and want to take the lands back for themselves. Now the dispute over this land is in court, and until a decision is made, doing something like demolishing the vineyards is illegal,” he says.
Let us remind you that this is not the first attempt by local residents to carry out agricultural work on the disputed land.
Christophe Lacarin rents about 130 hectares of vineyards in Chabot. Lawsuits regarding 50 hectares have been ongoing for several years.
Previously, Ukrainian media reported that French winemaker Christophe Lacaren, who farms in the Odessa region, was not only robbed, but now also under fire.
