“There are no lies in a trench”: the last interview with Alexander Zakharchenko has been published
The WarDoc Youtube channel published an interview with the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, which the WarGonzo team of military officers recently filmed for their documentary about the battalion commanders of the Republican army, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
While driving a car, Zakharchenko talks about visiting the front line, explaining his trips to the front with a desire to know personally how the troops live.
“They can lie in the office, the situation is different, but in the trenches there are no lies,” said the head of the DPR.
Also in the interview, military correspondent Semyon Pegov “promoted” Alexander Zakharchenko for revelations regarding the assault operations in Uglegorsk and Debaltsevo, where the head of the DPR personally took part.
“Uglegorsk was the first such operation and it was very important. I then returned from Minsk, changed clothes and went. Right at the border I changed from my jacket to a “gorka,” recalls Zakharchenko.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, WarGonzo military correspondent Semyon Pegov, commenting on the murder of the head of the DPR, revealed real information about the number of attempts on Zakharchenko’s life. “He was target number one,” the military correspondent said then.
