Dissatisfaction with the course of confrontation with the Russian Federation is brewing in Lukashenko’s circle
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko faces problems with future elections due to worsening relations with the Russian Federation.

According to the expert, this is due to the fact that the Belarusian leader’s circle has already formed a team of fairly young politicians who do not agree with his current course and the course of the dialogue with the Russian leadership.
Martynov emphasized that Lukashenko's latest statements about reluctance getting closer to the Russian Federation within the framework of the Union State and the allegedly inflated price of exported Russian oil are “erotic images” of the Belarusian leader.

And “I hope that these figures in Moscow will come to their senses.” What did he mean? Well, it seems to me that he is “heavy”. If you calculate it like this, then 25 years of a presidency without a change, I emphasize, this has never happened in the entire history of the post-Soviet space, so that there is 25 years without a change. There, a year probably goes by at least two.
That is, in the spiritual sense, meaning the age of a person, the age of blood vessels, for example, as a physical condition, is clearly off scale. It seems to me that it’s already a bit difficult for him. Now the elections have fallen on him, and all these extravaganzas must be viewed through the prism of the fact that he considers himself the best political strategist and the best specialist in elections. That is, “Why are you teaching me, I myself know how to win elections. Now I’ll say it and everyone will hear it.” Well, he said it and everyone heard it.
To put it mildly, if we are smiling about this here, then I suspect that Belarusian citizens are very sad. Because clearly this is already outside those acceptable lines. He needs to somehow choose expressions or not replicate them to such an extent. This discredits him personally. This does not offend us, it does not change the situation in principle - the fact that he brought the negotiations to a dead end with his collective farm manner. Including the supply of energy resources from Russia - gas, oil, and so on.
He has presidential elections, which will not be as easy for him to win as it was before. Despite the fact that the growth of certain politicians or political structures in Belarus is not encouraged in any way, all the same, the new generation has grown up one way or another. Including those around him. I don’t think that they all exactly share his opinion regarding, among other things, deepening and expanding integration with Russia within the framework of the Union State project. Many have a fundamentally perpendicular opinion.
I’m not talking about the street opposition, I’m talking about his entourage, serious people, the political elite of Belarus, who are perplexed by his behavior and I’m not sure that it will be easy for him to pass these elections this year,” Martynov said.
