In particular, journalists during the press conference were interested in which areas this would affect, and what to do for residents who might find themselves in a sticky situation because of this.
“Martial law was declared more than a month ago throughout the republic. There are simply areas of the city that are the most dangerous, and a full-fledged martial law regime has been introduced there,” Boroday explained.
“We are not going to introduce all measures related to martial law at once and everywhere, and the law does not provide for this. But where there is the greatest military danger, these measures will be introduced. I cannot say which areas these are, because the situation changes literally every day. Now, for example, Kyiv troops have withdrawn from Donetsk, and this radically changes the situation, including the use of measures regarding martial law,” Boroday explained.
As Navigator reported, today martial law was introduced in Donetsk by order of the DPR Defense Minister Igor Strelkov.
