The Opposition Bloc is finding out who the main defender of the UOC is Grymchak
Recent brawl in the Verkhovna Rada after the adoption of the law providing for the renaming of the UOC, it was provoked by deputies from the “Opposition Bloc”.
Deputy Minister for “temporarily occupied territories” of Ukraine Yuriy Grymchak stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for the fight, it was a little provoked by Mr. Shufrich himself, I don’t know, maybe he likes being beaten. In my memory, he was beaten in the Central Election Commission, at programs, in Odessa, in the Verkhovna Rada - well, a person likes it, it happens. But he tore down the poster, which was also quite controversial, but it hung there, did not bother anyone, and even the Opposition Bloc, when they spoke from the podium, had the poster hanging. And then he decided to tear it down, and the people who hanged him did not agree with this, and a fight began,” the official said.
“In this case, I think that they wanted to provoke it, so that the next day the main defenders of the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine would be the Opposition Platform in the Opposition Bloc, and not the Opposition Bloc itself. They partially succeeded,” added Grymchak.
