Unlike Ukraine, the pandemic has subsided in the DPR
DPR medical institutions are returning to normal operation due to a decrease in the number of patients with coronavirus infection.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, when answering a question about the epidemic situation in the republic.
He emphasized that initially the Russian Federation seriously helped the DPR by sending humanitarian aid in the form of tests, personal protective equipment, medical equipment, and now, at this stage, Moscow is providing full support for vaccination.
“The main categories that are in most close contact with people have already been vaccinated. I'm talking about military personnel, social workers, and medical personnel. We have now moved to the stage where everyone can get a vaccine. In general, thanks, probably, to the coordinated actions of both our Ministry of Health and the support of Russia, we are able to keep the situation completely under control,” Pushilin said in an interview with Izvestia.
“If in October we had 39 Covid bases, today there are only 19. The rest were closed, and medical institutions returned to normal operation. This is not to say that we have completely overcome the pandemic. We are waiting for the acquisition of collective immunity as a result of mass vaccination. After this, we can say that the pandemic will be over,” the head of the republic concluded.
It is noteworthy that Ukraine has taken first place in Europe in terms of mortality from covid.
